Acetone

Colorless liquid with a very volatile distinctive aroma, it is used as a raw material in the manufacture of methyl methacrylate and bisphenol A; It has good solvency properties for vegetable and animal fats, synthetic and natural resins, so it has application in coatings and cosmetics. Another application is in the pharmaceutical and chemical industry.

Cyclohexanone

Colorless liquid, with a strong aroma soluble in water, it is ideal in applications that are sensitive to peroxide and oxygen, the benefits are uniform evaporation, minimum moisture content, low toxicity, ecotoxicity and low VOC's. Applications range from PVC cement and pesticides to paints and printing inks such as screen printing; also in the manufacture of adipic acid and caprolactam based on nylon.

DIBK

Colorless liquid of low density and slow evaporation, good active solvent for synthetic resins including nitrocellulose, rosin esters, phenolic, hydrocarbon, alkyd, polyester and acrylic. Helps improve flow and prevents moisture bleaching. Due to its low density and surface tension, it allows the development of coatings with a high solids content and low VOC's with excellent fluidity and leveling.

Isophorone

High boiling point colorless liquid used in resins, lacquers, inks and PVC. It is used in the manufacture of polyurethane for weather-resistant coatings, in pesticide and herbicide formulations, vinyl chloride/acetate-based coatings for metal cans and other metal paints, as well as printing inks for plastics.

MAK

Colorless liquid for cellulosic and acrylic lacquers and coatings with a high solid content. It is recommended in formulations with high solid content and low VOC content due to its low density. It is also used as a polymerization solvent for high-solids acrylic resins.

MEK

Colorless liquid of low viscosity with an odor similar to that of acetone. It is completely miscible with many organic solvents, natural and synthetic resins. Produces low viscosity, high solids solutions. It is used in formulations of printing inks, lacquers and other coatings; It is also applied in the pharmachemical industry. Likewise, it has applications in adhesives, aluminum foil and industrial detergents.

MIAK

Colorless active liquid with slow evaporation, low density and low surface tension, which is ideal for formulating coatings with high solids and low VOC's; It is also useful as a polymerization solvent for high solids acrylic resins. Because of this it is used in wood, marine, OEM, refinish and general industrial coatings; in thinner formulations and purge solvents.

MIBK

Colorless liquid with a pleasant aroma, slightly soluble in water. It is an active ingredient for synthetic resins such as cellulosic, vinyl, acrylic, alkyd, polyester and epoxy. It is useful for the formulation of high solids coatings. In addition to its application in inks, coatings and adhesives, it is used as an extraction agent for paraffins and oils; also in the manufacture of germicides, fungicides and pharmaceuticals.

MIPK

Colorless, low-boiling liquid that is used as a chemical intermediate as well as a process solvent. Among a large number of applications is automotive repainting, paints, lacquers, dyes and pigments, it is an intermediary for fungicides and herbicides, for graphic arts, detergents and soaps.

MPK

Colorless liquid of medium evaporation urethane grade, it is active for acrylic, polyester, cellulose, epoxy, vinyl and alkyd resins.
