Sorbitan Monostearate

Sorbitan ester derived from the reaction of fatty acids with sorbitol. It acts as a lipophilic nonionic emulsifier. It has emulsifying, dispersing, and wetting properties. It can be used in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.

Sorbitan Monooleate

Sorbitan ester derived from the reaction of sorbitol with fatty acids. It is a lipophilic product, it has low HLB values, due to its lipophilic nature it is easily solubilized or dispersed in oils, favoring the stability of W/O emulsions. In the food industry it is used as a vehicle for flavorings, in cosmetic products as an emulsifier, wetting agent and powder dispersant.
